Welcome to the photo page for our 25th Anniversary Cruise

This page has been visited times so far.

We decided to go on a cruise for our 25th Anniversary. Our travel agent, recommended an Eastern Caribbean cruise on Royal Caribbean Cruise lines. What a great recommendation it was. We left on Saturday April 29th 2006 on the Voyager of the Seas from Miami. Below is us getting on board.

Below is another view of getting on the ship, though I think this was reboarding in Nassau. When boarding in Miami they have two large gangways that are like airline jetways.

Next are two more pictures that give some idea of the size of the ship. (This is the largest in the RCI fleet (at the time of sailing)

Our room was great. A little small by hotel standards, but it was more than large enough and well maintained. Its true that you don't spend much time in your room, but we splurged and got a room with a balcony. This is a must!

A couple more balcony pictures.

It was nice to see our room was decorated for our anniversary on our arrival

Our ship left Miami around 7pm Saturday night and Nassau was outside our room when we awoke at 7am on Sunday. The first picture is my view from our balcony at the dock. Next is Blackbeard's Beach where we spent our first morning.

The only negative thing about our trip was we only had 4 hours in port at Nassau, and San Juan. We didn't have time for shopping in Nassau, or excursions in San Juan. I would have been happier to have a full day in the Bahamas and skipped San Juan.

Our 2nd full day (Monday) was spent at sea in route from Nassau, to St. Thomas in the US Virgin Islands, so I thought I would post some pics from around the ship.

On a cruise, you have to talk about dining and the food. Royal Caribbean is known for its great food. What some may not realize is that you can practically eat all day. I tried to limit myself to 5 meals a day. Yes, I gained 13 pounds on this trip. (I've lost 5 already). Below is our table where we dined each evening. There were 2 formal nights and the rest were casual. Its against my will to wear a tie on vacation, but I gave in since it was such a special event.

We dined with the same people each night. Below are Thomas, and Eva from Sweden, to their right was Janice and Lenny from Virginia, and then Gina and I.( Notice all the tan people?)

Thomas and Eva were some of the craziest, and fun party people around as evidenced by this photo. We closed the bars a couple of nights with them.

Speaking of eating, here is some of the healthier offerings.

And some not so healthy choices.

Ok,here are a few more from around the ship. The first is the upperdeck with sun areas and running track. (I didn't use the running track) Next is the main pool deck with 2 pools and 5 hottubs.

We spent most of our tub time in this one located in the "adults only" section.

We are not even at day 3 yet, I better start a new page!
