The Cruise Critic "Meet and Mingle"

As our roll call group on Cruiscritic.com had been going for many months we all started looking forward to the "Meet and Mingle" as well as getting together near the pool bar for the 5pm sail away. The Meet and Mingle party is a cooperation between Cruisecritic.com and Royal Caribbean. If the roll call group can sign up 25 interested people, the cruise line holds a reception for the group members. This was my first such event (BillOh) As this group went on for more than 500 days, it was a long time before we built up the required 25 names, but one day (Thanks a lot to Prudy (Prudon) I think the entire state of New Hampshire was on our cruise We finally got the announcement.

The meet and Mingle is usually scheduled for the first Sea-day (no ports) which for us was the 2nd day. Usually everyone is busy from the time they board up till the required Muster drill. Then there usually is dead time before the ship sails from port around 5pm, so we planned on getting together near the pool bar. Here are some of the photos.

The Meet and Mingle as mentioned was Monday morning in the viking Crown Lounge on Deck 14. Prudy had made name tags, which was helpful. Our roll call was one of the largest in Cruise Critic history for this ship. The ones that were more active were among the very first sailings of the ship in 2006. The official part of the event was pretty small as the representative the ship sent was the Activities Director, who runs Bingo amoung other things, and he couldn't stay long. A Royal Caribbean PC Mouse was given away and he went on his way leaving us to socialize with the provided snacks.
